Banshee Daku

A trickster insectoid beast reminiscent of a scorpion or tailed spider. They live in the jungle andlures creatures in by imitating the sound of a crying infant (has been reported to make the sound of a crying infant as well as species of bird and lizard).

Legend has it that these creatures are drawn to females who are plagued by nightmares and are thought to consume nightmares.

Daku have six beady eyes and advanced receptors for picking up noise in order to imitate creatures. They have scorpion like tails for grasping tree branches only to fall on top of creatures from above and pin their many legs into the creatures eyes, orifices, and throat. They are about the size of a hand.
