Codex Devmallum

Whispered in dark alleys and darker dungeons of the singularly mad and malevolent, the Codex Devmallum is malice manifest. The tome of ancient Protoa manuscript is written in an elegant scrawling that belies the devious and darkly ambitious hand that penned the eldritch archive.    There are few in the Age of Neonata who know of the Codex Devmallum, and fewer who can transcribe its true meaning and purpose. However, those few who are adept in long dead languages and the arcane have gleaned some meaning from the Codex which is itself a translation of a yet darker and older script. The original copy is thought to have been lost, but was unearthed by happenstance in the ruins of Delthi, the capital city of the Ancient Protoa empire.    It was circulated in the black markets of Azkosh as another Protoa relic among myriads of unintelligble books, tomes, scrolls, and tablets that were discovered in the early delving of the ancient rubble. A sage happened upon the text, the design of its cover piquing his curiosity. When the sage realized that it held unfathomable secrets, he transcribed the text and shared it with various trusted colleagues. Among this cohort, they sought to find the cipher and break the code.    The codex has yet to be fully translated and the pages containing the language of the Monoliths are of the utmost concern.

Purpose

The purpose of the Codex Devmallum was to record and decipher the eldritch language of the Ancient Monoliths in the hopes of gleaning the location of Noth, the Banished and destroy the destroyer.
