Heralds of War

Heralds of War are a mysterious organization of artists. Their true names are not known, they are only known by the sound of their voice and their style of song. Before a battle, when the armies are amassed, or knights have manned the parapets as doom approaches, there over the din a distorted sound resonates and a deep drum sounds. Horns heralding war boom as a gutteral voice hails violence and death in a solemn poem of ancient heroes long dead and fabled quests.

The most famous Herald is called Dirge.
