Eric Steelhelm
Eric served under King Devon for several years, distinguishing himself in battle and earning the respect of his peers. He became known for his bravery, discipline, and tactical acumen, and he quickly became one of the High King's most trusted advisors.
After serving in the High King's personal guard for a time, Eric decided to leave the military and pursue other ventures. He spent several years traveling across Karkanna, learning about different cultures and gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Eric's life took an unexpected turn when High King Devon called his trusted knight to lead the assaulting armies into Goldmont and if the seceded during the sieges Eric would be granted the option of returning to Oremond and become the new leader of the city guard or become the King of Goldmont
With Eric's leadership, the armies of Oremond were able to successfully destroy the King's garrison and restore the peace to the lands he would also begin exporting gold for the first time in centuries since the previous ruler was simply too greedy to let some of his gold go.
As King of Goldmont, Eric quickly established himself as a shrewd and capable ruler. He implemented policies that improved the lives of his subjects, including increased access to education and healthcare. He also invested heavily in the kingdom's gold mines, which brought immense wealth to the kingdom and solidified Eric's position as a powerful and influential ruler.
Despite his success, Eric was not without his detractors. Some accused him of being corrupt and ruthless, citing his gold-plated armor as evidence of his greed and lust for power. Nonetheless, Eric remained a popular and effective ruler, and his legacy as "The Gilded King" lived on long after his death.
