The Mystic Order
The Mystic Order is known to be well-versed in various disciplines such as history, politics, and strategy, making them valued advisors to the kings of Karkanna. They are also skilled in combat, with some members being trained in sword fighting and other forms of martial arts.
The members of this order - known as the Mystics - are required to take vows of celibacy, poverty, and obedience to their order. They live in a citadel located in the heart of Oremond, where they spend years studying and honing their skills.
The Mystic also have a strict hierarchy, with the High Mystic at the top, followed by a council of senior members who oversee different aspects of the order's operations. These include the Archivist, who is responsible for maintaining the order's vast library of knowledge, the Master of Arms, who trains the Mystifiers in combat, and the Grand Alchemist, who oversees the order's research into alchemy and potions.
Members of the Mystic Order are highly respected and seen as neutral parties in the ongoing conflicts between the different kingdoms of Karkanna. It is said that it is bad luck to harm a Mystic, and those who do are often met with swift justice from the order.
The Mystic Order is not without its enemies, however. Some view them with suspicion and distrust, believing that their extensive knowledge and power make them a threat to the status quo. Despite this, the order remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the greater good and upholding the values of wisdom, knowledge, and peace.
