"The Circlet"

The Circlet is a mysterious artifact that possesses a power forbidden from the world.
It was created the day after the Battle of the Currents, when an unknown deity sealed the essence of one of the five forbidden magics into the circlet, creating a massively powerful artifact that could grant the user immense power and the ability to manipulate and create dimensions at will. If used incorrectly, it could be disastrous to the three realms.
Those who have held and/or used the circlet described hearing a whispering voice, trying to tell them to use it's power, at times even attempting to command them into using it.
When it was used, most of the time they ended up in a massive mansion that they had full control over. This power of ripping a hole in reality to your own little pocket dimension was highly addicting, and the voice got stronger each time they used the circlet.
After a long time of use, the circlet would start to 'fuse' with them, slowly turning into a circle of glowing stars that floated above the wearer's head. Those who had this happen started having near-death experiences and seeing a black-winged figure in the distance whenever they happened, with the same starry halo.
If they didn't die from being 'Marked', the circlet-bearers usually restrained themselves form using its power, and it would become a circlet again for them to hide somewhere, and hope no one finds it. For their sake, and for the world's.

Raw materials & Components

It appears to be made out of silver, gold, and amethyst, but to a trained eye it is revealed to be some other kind of violet stone. What kind of purple gem it is is currently unknown. Upon closer inspection, the metals might not be normal either.
