Astral Soulbinding

Astral Soulbinding is a ritual to make someone a deity, and can only be performed by the gods themselves. It has only been performed twice in recorded history, creating the two minor deities, Ixion and Galleion. There is a lot of mystery surrounding this ritual, common questions range from: "how can a magical flower soup switch someone from nearly dying to straight-up immortal?" to "Is this possible to perform this as a mortal being or does divinity matter?" to "What does the magical flower soup taste like?"
Despite the mystery, this legendary ritual has intrigued many an adventurer, leading to people exploring to try to find answers. Gladfully, most are stopped before they seriously injure themselves in their haste to find immortality. Most of them.

History

The Astral Soulbinding ritual began way back around the start of the world just after the Battle of the Currents, where the leader of the Kathririan Army, Ixion, was severely injured and on death's doorstep. The deities who fought alongside him in the battle decided to save his life and performed a complex ritual to infuse him with divine powers and making him immortal, and he became the deity of leadership and truths.

Execution

The ritual has had different steps both times it was performed, but they mainly follow the same formula: A combination of different types of magic is pooled into a silver and quartz bowl, the magic is mixed with water from Aniberus (the sky's realm, also the realm of the gods) , Kathrir (the mortal realm), and Akumasu (the underworld). After that a series of flowers is added (the most varied part of the process) and then the magical flower soup is given Ashren's blessing. Then the to-be-deity drinks the liquid, which gives them enough magic to become immortal.
