keeva
The keeva plant was prized by the ancient Vancorrans for its medicinal properties. Seafarers never left port without a supply on hand.
When brewed in a tea, keeva leaves relieve aches and inflammation while also serving as a pain killer and fever reducer. It is most well-known for its roots, however. Keeva root is a tried-and-true remedy for nausea, especially motion sickness. Unlike the tea, which requires knowledge and tools to prepare, keeva root can be used and consumed in its raw form.
In modern times, many Vincarans still swear by keeva root and use it instead of prescription medication for seasickness and similar ailments. It lacks the side effects of dizziness, blurred vision, and drowsiness that over-the-counter remedies can cause. Lanarians are often skeptical about the value of keeva root until they experience its effectiveness first-hand, and then vow never to use anything else.
Part of what makes keeva so effective is the fact that even sniffing the root can reduce nausea, while chewing provides more relief, and swallowing even more.
