skirak (SKEER-ack)
Basic Information
Anatomy
Skiraks are large, flightless birds with long necks. They come in a variety of colors, often either red/orange or blue/aqua, but pure white ones are very rare. They have long, feathery tails and a crest of feathers on top of their heads.
Genetics and Reproduction
Newly-hatched skirak chicks lack feathers. Only one to four eggs are in each clutch, and they take several months to hatch.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They eat plants, fruits, vegetables, and insects.
Behaviour
Skiraks are prone to stampedes if spooked, so it's best to separate a frightened animal from the rest before a chain reaction can occur.
