Yima's Tears

Yima's Tears, as the locals of Highstorm have come to call it, is a hauntingly beautiful yet perilous district of the city. Once bustling thoroughfares now lie submerged beneath the murky waters, creating a semblance to the labyrinthine canals of Venice. The moonlight casts an ethereal glow upon the rippling surface, but beneath lies a strange depth that seems to swallow those who fall in, their fates sealed by the enigmatic waters that once filled the Reflecting Pool. However, as long as you don't get in the water, the once-streets are easily navigated via skiffs and gondolas. Despite the mysterious danger of the waters themselves the area is a popular, fashionable place to live. The moon reflecting on the water is quite beautiful, and it's considered exceptionally romantic to take someone on a moonlight tour of the city.
