Exorcist

Exorcist

The exorcist is focused on fighting impure spirits like yokai, gaining advantages in combat against them.

Eyes of Purification

Starting at 3rd level you gain true sight against any effects created by yokai, and become immune to any magically induced conditions from spells cast by yokai. You immediately become aware when a yokai is within 30 feet of you even if you don’t know where.

Kamishirushi

Starting at 6th level you mark a number of yokai creatures up to your wisdom modifier within 30 feet of you. Each target must make a Wisdom saving throw, or become cursed by the sigil for 1 minute. Whenever a yokai makes an attack roll or a saving throw while cursed, the creature must roll a d4 and subtract the result from their total roll. Additionally the creatures will become afraid of you. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Sealing

Starting at 11th level you gain an additional type of ofuda. Once per long rest you can use a sealing ofuda that can only be used against yokai within 30 feet. When using this ofuda as an action, roll 6d8 die and if the number is equal or greater than the remaining hitpoints of the targeted creature, they become sealed within the ofuda. While inside the ofuda the yokai remains in stasis until they are released from the ofuda where they return in the condition they were in when they were sealed, or the ofuda is destroyed, killing the sealed creature. The die increases to 8d8 at level 15, and 10d8 at level 19.

Divine Interdiction

Starting at 17th level, whenever you force a yokai to make a saving throw and they roll a natural 1 or 2, or whenever you roll a natural 19 or 20 to a yokai, it suffers a banishment effect as if cast by you. If you are currently maintaining Concentration on another effect, you can choose to drop the spell you are currently concentrating on in favor of the banishment. If you do not, the banishment lasts until the end of your next turn. If casting banishment is what triggered this effect in the first place, you may choose a new target within 30 feet to be affected by banishment.
