IJN Meiji

Born from the unfulfilled hopes of her creator who dreamed of a super battleship named after Emperor Meiji, he committed ritual suicide after his life's work and dream were rejected by the Navy. The intense grief at his moment of death gave birth to the anthropomorphic super battleship Meiji who seeks to honor her late creator by serving dutifully in the military where she was plucked from the Navy to be a part of the legendary Directorate 21 Office 1 Section 1. She is among the most powerful members of the Directorate, only rivaled by the other members of her section.

Meiji has an icy cold and serious dutiful demeanor. In reality she is simply shy and awkward around people, having a difficult time expressing her emotions. She has no interests or passions outside of her work, and spends the little time she is away from the field or the office shining her boots and removing lint from her uniform, resulting in her having the most immaculately maintained uniform from anyone in the Kenpeitai or perhaps the entire military. She also might spend time lobbying and petitioning the military for the creation of a super battleship program since its renunciation of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1934. She calls for the creation of a ship named Yamato after the people of Japan.
