Fleet Structure

Ports and Dockyards

The IJN has naval bases at Kure, Maizuru, Hiroshima, and Truk Atoll
The IJN has dockyards at Yokosuka, Kure, Sasebo, and Maizuru

Special Naval Landing Force (SNLF)

The Special Naval Landing Force, or Japanese Marines, serve a similar function to the Imperial Japanese Army, but under the jurisdiction of the Navy, and with an added focus on coordination with naval forces, and beach landings. The size of the SNLF is comparatively small, being made up of only 6 divisions.
