Kaeru
A frog yokai with good constitution, a long tongue, and a large stomach. The Kaeru has versatile stats, allowing it ot fill a number of roles. Their ability to traverse using their tongue and restrain using their swallow ability, make them well suited to control the battlefield and direct its flow.
Kaeru are few in number and prefer peaceful slow paced lives eating dragonflied by the river banks in the outskirts of Edo in Reikai. They have no grand ambitions or deep passions for abstract ideas, and are content to simply enjoy a modest existence in ponds and riversides.

Amphibious - You can breathe in water and has a swimming speed equal to their normal speed Frog Tongue - You can shoot your tongue out up to 15 feet. Your tongue is sticky and can attach to any objects you hit with it. Objects of medium sized or smaller can be pulled towards you as an action, while anything larger you can pull yourself towards. Your tongue can also be used as a form of grapple, so long as you beat a contesting athletics check and pull the target towards you afterwards. If you do not pull the target towards you, the target cannot leave the range of your tongue while it is attached to them. Attacks made against your tongue count as attacks made against you. Swallow - While grappled you can choose to impose a strength saving throw against a DC that equals 8 + your constitution modifier + your proficiency. One a failure the target is swallowed. You can only swallow one target at a time and your belly dramatically puffs out as a result. While you have a target swallowed your movement is halved and you gain disadvantage on all attacks, saving throws, and skill checks. The target counts as restrained and takes 1d6 x proficiency modifer acid damage for every turn they are swallowed. Special Feat: Fierce Frog - Kaeru
