Government

The Kingdom of Italy is a constitutional monarchy whose elected government has transformed the government into a more more fascist and authoritarian one under the control of Benito Mussolini, the dictator of the nation.

History

Throughout the mid 1800s, Italy began a process of unification, turning the long fragmented region into a unified kingdom. However despite its past glories, this modern state fell far behind the heavy hitters of Europe like Britain, France, and Germany. Italy had a small colonial empire, and low levels of industrialization compared to the aforementioned powers. Seeking to thrust his nation back into glory, Benito Mussolini champion a new fascist ideology which promised to make Italy a preeminent power on the continent once again.

Foreign Policy

Italy seems to be looking for an opportunity to grow its empire to expand its glory and power. A second attempt at invading Ethiopia is a viable strategy, or perhaps even a closer European power like Greece

Economy

Italy's economy isn't small by global standards, but its simply isn't able to keep up with its neighbors. It isn't highly industrialized or innovative, and isn't rich with natural resources.

Italy is famous for its ancient artifacts and relics, fine clothing, and delicious food
