Omikuji
Available at shrines, players may roll a D100 to see whether they get a blessing or curse. You can either roll a D8 to determine the specific effect that occurs, choose from the list, or come up with the effect entirely on your own. A player may only have up to 3 Omikuji effects active or in stock at one time. The effects of Great Blessings and Curses are entirely up to DM discretion, but are intended to be pivotal or extremly beneficial/tragic or exciting/interesting for the player.
