Path of the Puppeteer

Path of the Puppeteer (Mystic)

You seek to manipulate others to do your will using threads imbued with your psychic will

Dancing to My Tune

At 3rd level you learn to more potently flex your control over those around you. As an action, you may force a creature within 30 feet of you to make an Intelligence saving throw against your mystic spell save DC. On a failure, the target of this magical assault falls under your control. As a part of this action on this turn, and as a bonus action on subsequent turns for the next minute, you may force this creature to move up to its movement speed and make a single weapon or unarmed attack (using its own rolls). If you force a creature to move into dangerous terrain such as lava or a poisonous cloud or it gets attacked, the creature may make an Intelligence saving throw to end the effect early. On the creature's turn, they are stunned, and may repeat the Intelligence saving throw at the end of their turn to end this effect. You may use this feature once, requiring a long or short rest to do so again.

Body Shield

At 6th level you learn to pull the threads of the target under the control of your "Dancing to My Tune" ability. If your targeted Creature is within 30 feet you can use your reaction to pull that creature in front of you to take damage on your behalf from any attack or effect intended to target you specifically. After recieving damage the puppeted target will move to a space adjacent to you and will be able to make a saving throw to break free immediately afterwards

Master Manipulator

At 14th level your capacity to use your puppet increases, obtaining the following upgrades:
  • You are able to use Dancing to My Tune a number of times equal to half your proficiency rounded up per short rest
  • The range of your puppetry extends to the range of your tendrils
  • Targets have disadvantage on saving throws against your puppetry
