Tanuki

Similar to a Kitsune, the Tanuki is a shapeshifter, but focuses more on benign trickery rather than manipulative motivations. As such the Tanuki specializes in illusions instead of direct control. Tanuki make for good wisdom or charisma spellcasters.
Tanuki are not as ambitious or malicious as Kitsune dispite having a similar skill set. As such they are unlikely to create societies of much size and scope, preferring instead to run about forests in both Reikai as well as the material world messing with unsuspecting victims for their own amusment. Tanuki are family and clan oriented, but these clans rarely team up to accomplish anything big.
