You have made a pact with a supernatural entity that spreads its influence through the media, social trends, and digital networks. This patron exists within the internet, urban legends, or viral phenomena, offering you strange and unpredictable powers tied to the ebb and flow of digital information.

Expanded Spell List

The Viral Icon lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you:

1st Level: Disguise Self, Silent Image

2nd Level: Mirror Image, Phantasmal Force

3rd Level: Hypnotic Pattern, Sending

4th Level: Greater Invisibility, Confusion

5th Level: Modify Memory, Dream

Digital Whisper

At 1st level your patron communicates with you through glitches, corrupted files, and viral media only you can see. You gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion.

Glitch Communication: As an action, you can use your magic to communicate silently with someone through a nearby screen (such as a phone or computer). The message can only be seen by the intended target and vanishes after being read.

Viral Surge

At 1st level when you cast a cantrip or spell that targets a creature, the spell’s effects can spread. If the original target fails its saving throw or is hit by the attack, you can choose one other creature within 10 feet of the original target to also be affected (if the spell can reasonably affect it). You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest.

Media Manipulation

At 6th level, as an action, you can broadcast false information or illusions through any electronic device within 30 feet. Choose one of the following effects:

Distraction: Force enemies within 10 feet of the device to succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or have disadvantage on their next attack roll.

Misinformation: You plant a fake clue or story, causing all Investigation and Insight checks in the area to be made with disadvantage for 1 minute.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.

Digital Construct

At 10th level you summon a construct of light and data—an illusion that mimics a creature or object. As an action, choose any creature you have seen within the last 24 hours. The illusion appears within 30 feet of you and behaves exactly like the creature (though it deals no damage).

Combat Use: You can use a bonus action to make the construct distract a creature, forcing it to make a Wisdom save (DC 16) or grant your allies advantage on attacks against it until the start of your next turn. The construct lasts for 1 minute or until dismissed as a bonus action.

Viral Curse

At 14th level, as an action, you unleash a curse through a network of devices connected to your patron’s influence. Choose up to three creatures within 120 feet that you can see or that are connected to a digital device (such as holding a phone). Each target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 17). On a failure, the creature is:

Blinded and Deafened for 1 minute.

Cursed: While cursed, the target has disadvantage on all Wisdom saving throws and perception checks.

You can use this ability once per long rest.

Fanatic of the Viral Icon

At 18th level you become a conduit for your patron’s full digital power. For 1 minute, you gain the following abilities:

Incorporeal Presence: You can phase through walls and solid objects as if they were difficult terrain.

Digital Cloning: You can create up to 3 illusionary clones of yourself (like the Mirror Image spell).

Network Surge: As a bonus action, you can force an enemy holding or near a digital device to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 18) or take 6d8 lightning damage.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.

Eldritch Invocations (unique to this patron)

Meme of Control: You can cast Suggestion without expending a spell slot, but the command must be phrased in the form of a meme or popular phrase. You can use this ability once per short rest.

Echo Network: When you cast Disguise Self, you can also disguise your voice and mimic someone you’ve seen or heard within the past 24 hours.

Spam Hex: When you cast Hex, you can apply it to two creatures instead of one.
