The River Outpost
This outpost is small, with a trading post, a garrison, a warehouse, a small farm, a few houses, and an inn. It's quiet here, but there is an edge of readiness, the soldiers here now that the threat of invasion is always imminent. With a wide border and rich farmland, they must be ready to respond to raiders at any point.
Their weapons are well polished and show signs of use. Though it has been some time since a real war, skirmishes are common.
The inn, The Hunter and the Candle, is a stone building, two stories tall. The bottom floor is a welcoming common room - a fire in the hearth, tables, and a large bar. There are a few rooms there, and more upstairs of varying levels. The patrons are travelling merchants, locals in for a nice drink, and the odd adventurer.
Demographics
500 are soldiers, the rest are civilians
Government
The Lieutenant Colonel rules the soldiers, and most of the civilians fall in line. Of the civilians, the inkeeper is most widely regarded.
Industry & Trade
Due to the border location of the outpost, and the garrison here, the outpost is a must-stop for many traders. The inn is also well regarded.
Assets
The army stores equipment and back up supplies in a warehouse - they buy up extra non-perishable food from local farmers and keep it in case of an emergency, in addition to their military supplies.
