Orcs
Giants, Orcs, and Goliath were the first to join forces with the Avannaatian Empire during the onset of the war due to their militaristic tendencies and lust for power. The general populous would have a certain amount of distrust when in the presence of these races, especially while in conquered territories.
Orcs are a populous species in the world of Keokliovar. They are found in every corner of each continent due to being extremely hardy and survivable. They were used by the Empire as part of the Crusades, acting as a Vanguard to break enemy lines. The many Tribes and Clans, after skirmishing with the Empire during the start of their invasion, decided to submit to their rule to preserve themselves, and began to fight for them instead. Due to this 'betrayal', Orcs are viewed with suspicion by most of the population, still seen as the Empire's 'pets', and within the Empire itself they are viewed as second-class due to their ancestors warmaking tendencies. Orcs are so populous due to a strange genetic mutation. When Orcs reproduce with other Humanoid species' they foster Half-Orc young. When an Orc and a Half-Orc, or two Half-Orcs reproduce, they either foster Half-Orc or Full-Orc young. Orc societies are Matriarchal. Most Orcs are born Male, so when a Female is born she is treated with greater reverence and given the very best that the Clan or Tribe has to offer in care and training. Females are raised to become the leaders of most Orc societies, and are given breeding rights to any of the Males within their respective Clans and Tribes. When two or more groups of Orcs join, the leaders battle, and the winner is allowed to keep her station as Matriarch between the two groups.
