Argonaus
Deep beneath the earth, in the long-abandoned Dwarven city of Horgenhold, lies a community of Medusas. These creatures, feared and shunned by most, have made their home in the abandoned city, using its labyrinthine tunnels and caverns to their advantage.
The Medusas of this community are unlike the typical depictions of the creature. They have learned to live in relative harmony with each other, forming a society with a strict hierarchy and a deep respect for tradition. The Medusas have fashioned their homes and communal spaces out of the sturdy stone of the Dwarven city and it's tunnels, creating a maze of interconnected chambers and passageways. The leader of this community is a powerful Medusa named Sssarina. She is known for her intelligence, cunning, and fierce loyalty to her people. Under her leadership, the Medusas have developed a unique culture, with their own customs and rituals that have been passed down through the generations. The community is sustained by a combination of hunting and agriculture. The Medusas hunt the abundant subterranean wildlife and grow crops in small gardens illuminated by magical fungi. They are also skilled miners, and have developed a complex system of tunnels and shafts to extract precious metals and gems from the earth. Despite their relative isolation, the Medusas are not completely cut off from the outside world. They maintain a trade relationship with nearby Duergar and Drow settlements, exchanging their wealth and resources for goods and supplies they cannot produce themselves. The Medusas beneath Horgenhold are a proud and insular community, fiercely protective of their home and their way of life. Visitors are rare and are treated with suspicion, if not outright hostility. However, for those who can navigate the treacherous tunnels and earn the trust of the Medusas, the community can be a valuable ally or even a source of great wealth and knowledge.

Demographics
At the top of the hierarchy would be the Medusa Queen, who is the absolute ruler of the community. The Queen would likely have powerful magical abilities and be feared and respected by all other Medusas. She would have the final say on all important decisions, including matters of war and diplomacy.
Below the Queen would be the Medusa Council, which would be composed of the most powerful and influential Medusas in the community. The Council would advise the Queen on important matters and help her govern the community.
The next level in the hierarchy would be the Medusa Elite, who would be the most skilled and powerful warriors and hunters in the community. They would be responsible for protecting the community from outside threats and enforcing the Queen's laws and decrees.
Below the Elite would be the Medusa Commoners, who would make up the bulk of the community. They would be responsible for tasks such as farming, crafting, and raising children.
Finally, at the bottom of the hierarchy would be any outsiders or prisoners that the Medusas have captured. These individuals would be enslaved and forced to do menial labor or fight in the community's armies.
Medusas are a matriarchal society where women hold positions of power and authority. As such, it's likely that men would be viewed as second-class citizens in a Medusa community.
Men might be permitted to live in the community, but they would likely not hold positions of power or authority. Instead, they would be expected to perform menial labor or serve in the community's armies. Men might also be viewed as less intelligent or less skilled than women and could be subject to discrimination or ridicule.
