Celestial Steel

Celestial Steel gets it's name from the radiant, good properties that it exudes, and the ease of which it is imbued with powerful, celestial magics whilst resisting necrotic energies. It is, for most purposes, simply steel that has been smelted and wrought within the confines of the outer plane of Bytopia, where, over an unknown length of time, it begins to be infused with the power of the plane it resides on.

Rarity

Of all the materials and metals brought from the Outer Planes, Celestial steel remains the most common found in Kermoria; that is not, however, to say that it is commonplace, as it still remains well outside the price range of the average family.

Significance

While it is still, at it's core, steel, and thus could easily be forged into swords and axes and hammers, the majority of celestial steel spends it's days forged into metal armors and, especially, shields.  Paladins of good or righteous gods, from all the planes, often find themselves wielding shields of this most righteous of metals.    It is, therefore, highly prized by many scions and avatars of the divine to wield or be protected by this most holy of metals.
