Edeli Undead Uprising
The sudden outage of the Sandfire Beacon was a shocking event that sent waves of panic through the city of Edeli. For as long as anyone could remember, the beacon had never gone out, and its eternal flame had always been a reassuring sight for the city's inhabitants and visitors alike. But on that fateful day, the flame was extinguished, and darkness descended upon the city.
The following day, the worst fears of the citizens were realized as the slums district of Edeli was overrun by a horde of undead. Witnesses reported seeing the undead shamble through the streets, their movements slow and awkward, but nevertheless relentless in their pursuit of the living.
The city guard was quickly mobilized, but their efforts were hindered by the sheer number of undead and the narrow streets of the slums. Panic spread throughout the city, and many began to fear that this was the beginning of a full-scale invasion by the undead.
In the days following the outbreak, the city of Edeli was thrown into chaos. The military and many of the guards from the Houses were deployed to the barricades, trying to prevent the zombies from breaking through and reaching the rest of the city, or at least from reaching in any real numbers.
Despite their efforts, however, the undead kept coming. More and more zombies were spotted each day, and the soldiers on the front lines were becoming overwhelmed.
The citizens of Edeli were terrified. Many fled the city, either seeking refuge elsewhere or braving the dangers of the wilderness. Others barricaded themselves in their homes, hoping that they would be safe from the hordes outside.
Meanwhile, the government of Edeli was struggling to come up with a plan to deal with the outbreak. They had never seen anything like this before, and they were completely unprepared for the scale of the disaster.
In the end, the outbreak was contained within the slums district, as barricade after barricade was erected, blocking off access to the entire area and keeping them (safely?) locked within; the streets are flooded with the shambling undead, but there is thought to be no one, and nothing, left living within an area nearly four square miles in size.
