Emberflame, Wrath of the First Age
An ancient male red dragon, thought to be the oldest dragon and one of only a few beings alive during the Draconic Age, Emberflame has been in seclusion (and many thought, finally dead) for nearly 150 years, before his sighting at the siege of Rivercrossing in 221AV.
Summary
In the Draconic age, when Teraptus ruled, many other dragons rose to fight against him, both directly and indirectly. Emberflame was no exception. Several battles are recorded between the two juggernauts, and it is said that one of their colossal bouts actually created the Great Divide between Zoluren and Ilithi, as they came crashing to the ground with such force as to split the earth.
As the Lyras wars drew to a close, many of the surviving dragons of the world retreated into hiding, as Dragon Slaying became more and more common for many peoples, afraid that, in the weakness following such an ordeal, a new Tyrant might arise amongst the Wyrms. And so, Emberflame was not seen for nearly 150 years.
During the siege of Rivercrossing in 221, as hordes of Greenskins entrenched themselves for a protracted engagement outside the eastern gates of the city, they met their fiery end at the hands of a grizzled and scarred colossal red dragon, one assumed by many to be none other than Emberflame, arisen from his slumber.
After denying the greenskins their prize, the dragon flew North-northwest, and was not seen again.
