The Lions own a large compound on the outskirts of River Crossing , fortified and defended heavily against assault.  They also maintain a chapterhouse in Ilithi, outside the city of Shard .  Though not as heavily fortified, this compound is rumored to be nigh-impregnable due to the thickness of it's walls and the countenance of it's stalwart defenders.

History

The Cobalt Lions were formed in 163AV with the intention of acting as a mercenary force for any conflict, large or small, throughout the Province of Zoluren.  Serving as an augment to city guards and militias, as well as personal bodyguards for travelling merchants, the Lions are seen at many public events, from the naming of a new mayor to the coronation of Prince Roger Vorclaf .  During the Ogre invasions in 200AV, the Lions were instrumental in holding key sections of the city until an organized defense could be formed.
