Vargr Family
The founder of the Vargr family and his wife were named Eadric and Aethelflaed née Hildeburg, respectively. They were said to have traveled from River Crossing in search of a new life and settled in the Langenfirth region where they built their homestead, the Vargr Clanhold, sometime around 100BD. Eadric was a skilled hunter and woodsman, while Aethelflaed was known for her healing abilities.
One day, while out hunting, Eadric was attacked by a vicious wolf in the Drakweald Forest. The wolf had been wounded by a rival predator and was desperate for food. Eadric fought the wolf off with his hunting knife, but not before it had bitten him. Unbeknownst to him, the wolf had been infected with Lycanthropy and Eadric had been cursed with the affliction.
Despite his condition, Eadric was able to control his lycanthropy and used it to his advantage in his hunting expeditions. He was able to track and take down prey with ease, and his reputation as a skilled hunter grew in the region, which served to fill his family's coffers.
Eadric and Aethelflaed had three children, all born with the lycanthropy curse. Over the generations, the Vargr family has learned to live with the curse and keep it a well-guarded secret, hiding it from the Hallowed Order. They have become skilled in controlling their transformations and using their abilities for the betterment of their family's ranching business.
The current head of the Vargr family is Harald Vargr. He is married to Greta Vargr, and they have four children, two sons and two daughters. The eldest son, Erik, is married to a woman named Astrid and they have a daughter. The second son, Bjorn, is currently single and considered an eligible bachelor. The elder daughter, Freya, is married to a man named Leif and they have a son and a daughter. The younger daughter, Sigrid, seventeen, is also single and eligible.
