Cousin to King Roger Vorclaf of Zoluren, Loretta D'Archangel comes from a long line of extremely powerful celestial-blooded sorcerers. She herself is only passingly human, showing far more of her celestial heritage than her human side.

Like the rest of the D'Archangel family, Loretta manifested her powers very early in life; it was clear from a very young age she would be a gifted sorceress, but the full extent of her manifestation wasn't evident until she was a teenager; many of the instructors at Westinghouse Arcane Academy commented that she was the most powerful sorceress they knew, and potentially the most powerful living sorceress on Kermoria, comparing her to the late Johanna Westinghouse.
Education
Like other members of the Zoluren Royal Lineage, Loretta was given a top-notch education from a multitude of private tutors in almost everything imaginable, making her a well-rounded and very well educated woman.
Additionally, she received years of private and public tutoring in the arcane arts from several exceptional teachers, honing her incredible gift to a razor's edge.

Employment
As a member of the Royal family, Loretta doesn't 'work' in the same sense as the peoples of the Kingdom; however, she does hold the title as the High Magistrix, which makes her the de facto leader of any and all arcane societies, groups, clubs, academies, training facilities, or backyard get-togethers involving mages, sorcerers or other users of the arcane arts. She wields no true authority, per se, but does frequently make public appearances at events at Westinghouse Arcane Academy, Umbrey College of the Arcane Arts and even spoke at Harborview Sanctum, a particular honor considering she is not of Elven heritage.
