Sylmanite

Siphoned to create Caltigoraia's electricity, sylmanite is a beautiful bright green gemstone that shines brightly in the dark, making it both a good source of power for electricity and a good lamp in the dark. First found in the withering caves of Kalvarani, soon the whole continent found renewing deposits of sylmanite beneath their feet. Though very common, and despite the fact it has self-renewing properties, sylmanite is still considered an incredibly pricy resource in its pure form, usually only being able to be bought by most average people in its distilled form.

Life & Expiration

It is unknown for sure how long Sylmanite can renew its powers, however it is assumed to be somewhere close to a few million years. Ever since its discovery in 100BU, the self-renewing powers of Sylmanite have not been depleted.

History

Upon first discovery, most residents of Caltigoraia thought sylmanite was just another gemstone they could sell for high prices because it was pretty. The first piece of sylmanite was sold to a mage from the Mages tower of Hellsworthin(Hellspeak), who quickly deduced that this gemstone was more than just a pretty rock.
The mage and his companions at the mages tower of hellsworthin siphoned pure lightning energy from within the sylmanite, soon realising this could be used to power machines, create incredible inventions, and so they sought out the help of the king of Kalvarani(Mournstead) in order to pitch this idea to the general populace. With the king of Kalvarani's help, the mages successfully garnered attention for this incredible stone, and soon enough whole research groups were created simply to invent designs this gemstone could be used for.
Over time, sylmanite has become one of the most coveted and most used resources in the continent of Caltigoraia, powering incredible machines such as the phone, billboards, and cars.

Discovery

Discovered initially by miners in the withering caves of kalvarani, the first piece of sylmanite mined was sold to a hellsworthin mage by the name of Felynnda Vellta , who then discovered its concentrated lightning power within it.

Reusability & Recycling

Sylmanite has self-renewing properties, and the magic within it is renewed once depleted, no one knows for how long however it is certainly for a long time.
