The cold of Snowaraea

Snowaraea is a region in the northeast of Kesathra. An incredibly cold place, it was named by its Monarch after the snow that falls all day every day of every week, of every month, of every year.
A condition many in Snowaraea find incredibly difficult to avoid is the Storm Shivers, an illness caused by inhalation of too many Snowaraean Particles into the lungs. Many of the families who have lived in Snowaraea for centuries have developed biological immunity to this illness, though tourists and new residents find themselves falling sick quite easily.
