The ŭrburthi are a herbivous aquatic species

Anatomy

The Ŭrburthi is a slender hydrodynamic herbivore, the tip of the Ŭrburthi fins is akin to the hooves of an equus its like this because they're transition from land to water live. Ŭrburthi also sport teeth that is used for slicing Kelp rather then chewing it.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female Ŭrburthi reach sexual maturity at the age of 4 with gestation period lasting for 90 days the birth resulting in a foal, once the foal is birth it weans for 3 or 6 months.

Growth Rate & Stages

Ŭrburthi foals are born capable of full movement with a short time, also they can follow their mother. The foal will drink from their mothers for 3 to 6 months. After the 6 months the foals will begin to wean onto kelp. at month 18 the foal becomes an adult.

Ecology and Habitats

Ŭrburthi are found in kelp forests with the preference for warm coastal water environments. Foals have a green color similar to kelp with a dappled to blend into their environment.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Ŭrburthis diet is mainly composed of kelp, but occasionally the Ŭrburthi will eat small crustaceans for protein and calcium.

Behaviour

Ŭrburthi are prey animals with a strong fight or flight response. Their first response at even the smallest sense of danger is to flee only fighting if they're young is threatened.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Ŭrburthi is countershaded with a white bottom and a blue top with a yellow stripe going from the middle of the neck to the base of the tail with the tip of the fin also being yellow. Ŭrburthi foals are green with a lighter underbelly and a dappled pattern to blend in.
