Kuhn

The Kuhn, an ancient and venerable race, originate from the sweeping plains of Western Khana, their history intricately woven with the land itself. They are one of the 'First Folk', their lineage tracing back to the primordial ages alongside the Rin and the Gar. However, their connection with the land is matched by a storied naval history, their ships having once traversed the oceanic expanses surrounding Khana.   In these modern times, much of the grandeur and vastness of their past have faded, mirroring the ebbing waves that their forebears sailed. The once numerous Kuhn city-states that dotted the plains and coastlines have dwindled to a single stronghold - the port city of Zelenomorsk. As the last remnant of the Kuhn's former glory, Zelenomorsk stands as a testament to their resilience, its thriving docks and bustling markets a beacon of their indomitable spirit.   Despite their decline, the Kuhn retain their pride and a steadfast adherence to their traditions. They are seen as a people of honor and strength, their societal codes emphasizing martial prowess balanced with wisdom and respect for others. The mantle of leadership typically falls on the shoulders of the War-chiefs, the most revered Warriors who embody these ideals. They command not by imposition but through the respect earned by their wisdom and adherence to the Kuhn's code of honor.   While the Kuhn's star may have dimmed, their ambition remains undimmed. A new generation of Kuhn have emerged, eager to engage with the wider world and explore opportunities beyond their traditional territories. These modern Kuhn, while respecting their past, look forward to a future not just as participants, but as active contributors to the evolving world of Khana.   Their presence has spread far from Zelenomorsk, with Kuhn found in the markets of the Ishkhana Empire, the celebrations of the Kazan Empire, and even among the academic conclaves of the Gar. As they venture into this new age, they continue to uphold their unique heritage, careful to retain their identity amidst the whirlwind of change.   The story of the Kuhn, while tinged with the melancholy of decline, is not a tale of despair. Rather, it is an enduring saga of resilience, honor, and the unyielding spirit of a people determined to carve their place in the annals of Khana.
