Berindau, the Aetherbow
The outlaw who came to be known as the Aetherbow was born to a poor Meadowrun family not long after the rise of the Paragons. Fighting for his life in the slums while the rich and powerful of Khasrana reveled only a few blocks away, Berindau soon came to resent the Pavilion and the deep divide he thought they were creating in Khasranan society. He quickly rose through the criminal underworld of Meadowrun, but was never able to command the respect needed to be a true crime lord.
Seething with resentment towards both the Twelve and the people he thought were his family, he turned his focus to spellcraft. Berindau proved to have a natural capacity for domineering magic - controlling the thoughts, feelings, and actions of other people against their will. His preferred method of spellcasting was the use of enchanted arrows that he would fire on his targets from afar, earning him the moniker of Aetherbow. His talent for mind magic earned the attention of the crime bosses of Meadowrun, with each attempting to get him to use his talents on their rivals. When he realized the power of his position, Berindau tried to take matters into his own hands and force the bosses to fight each other for his ends. Berindau was found out and his plot failed, and for a time he was not seen anywhere in Meadowrun.
After his short absence, he was again seen in Meadowrun, this time in the service of a new crime lord - the Whitefire Maiden. The two were about to put their plan into action to rid Khasrana of the Twelve forever.

Berindau's failure to destroy Melusine cost him greatly. It was intended to be a swift and decisive operation, but he failed to account for the full strength of the Vibrant's defenses. The fierce wildlife and choking growth slowed his progress to the Paragon, allowing three Pavilion agents to catch up with him. The operation not only gave the Pavilion invaluable information about Whitefire tactics, but it also gave them another whitefire bomb to study and reverse engineer.
