Upton Snodsbury

In this little village located North of the city of Torda we meet the lovely people who call themselves the Snods. What used to be a great flourishing town, is now only the access point for boats coming from the outer lands. When coming into Upton Snodsbury Town Center , you are greatly welcomed by the Snods - providing you with the greatest fish pies in all of Aurleen. As soon as you set foot on the docks, you can smell the delicious pies that are stalled just outside of the fishery. These fish pies are made at the bakery in the centre of town - which is always worth a visit.

The settlement contains some 15 dwellings, an "Ofsted outstanding" first school, an ancient lighthouse, horse stable, fishery, bakery, village shop/PostAl office, village inn and a pub. There is also a recreational park.   Upton Snodsbury has been described as ‘a jewel in Torda’ and in earlier times as ‘a village in the orchards’. There are some 7 Listed Grade II ‘black and white’ timber-framed houses in the village – most of them located in a Conservation Area near the lighthouse. The remaining houses are stone houses. Together they form an attractive small village set in the countryside.
