Kurasheer
Propulsion
The kurasheer is not unique in that it is animal powered, but it is almost certainly unique in the way it harnesses that power. The entire vehicle is engulfed by a Sand Snake of sufficient size, stored in its water bladder, carried along, and regurgitated upon arrival at its destination. On particularly long journeys breaks are taken every eight hours to exchange the air in the Kurasheer's tanks. Additional breaks are taken to allow the sand snake to rest, but these are not on a fixed schedule, instead they are declared as needed by the caravan leader and/or the snake's handler.
Armor and defense
Though it is designed for storage in the water bladder, the outside of each kurasheer is coated for protection from acid in case the snake mistakenly swallows it.
Additional & auxiliary systems
Each kurasheer is equipped with an air bladder that could allow comfortable breathing for twenty people for twelve hours. A kurasheer almost never takes its full allowance of twenty people except in times of emergency, and similarly it is very rare to even approach twelve hours without exchanging air.
