The High Throne of Kikandrian

The High Monarchy of Kikandrian

The world of Kikandrian started at the behest of Divinity, and at the end of the unknown era, continued at the behest of Divinity. The celestial inserted themselves into daily life of a particularly large group of nomadic peoples and took a position as their leader, calling himself a god-king. This would mark the beginning of a long running span of the Kikandrian High Monarchy, although Divinity would not always have the throne of power. After seeing his people into what is known as the Golden Era, Divinity grew bored. Deciding to hold a competition to decide who would become the next king, Divinity would decide Ferste Riga would become the next High King of Kikandrian.   The High Monarchy would become an empire when Ulther Riga declared himself and his descendants' emperors. But then would return to being a High Monarchy after Jericho Lowells appointment as High Queen by Divinity himself. However, the government would take a turn again, and become a Federal Monarchy less than twenty years after Jericho took power. From there the High Monarchy would become the center of thirteen other Monarchies, and would guide the world into its second calamity, where the monarchy was then officially abolished as the last of the royals died or fled.   Stretching from the Golden era to the Apocalypse Era, the High Monarchy had its number of influential kings and queens amongst its leaders. Eventually the High Monarchy would come to be viewed as a cursed seat of power, and as the Apocalypse survivors began to rebuild, it was pledged that no one person would have that much power ever again.

Monarchs

The Monarchy had many influential kings and queens, all supposedly elected by Divinity himself. Every single one of these monarchs left a mark in the history books that would eventually resurface among the survivors of the Second Calamity.
  • Divinity: The creator, and the original High King of Kikandrian. Divinity took the reins during the Unknown Era when fights and territory disputes started breaking out amongst his people. Viewing the conflicts as a swift way to destroy themselves, Divinity assured his people as he swept in and established himself King, that he was there to save them all, with unification. Well it worked and in five short years Divinity had amassed the 13 territories into the beginnings of an organized government. Naming himself King, Divinity then established the Monarchy of Kikandrian, which would later turn into the High Monarchy when Divinity declared the 13 territories self-governing. Eventually bored of this solved conflict, Divinity decided to turn his divine power of control over the world over to a Kikandrian king. He would hold a competition, and tell all 13 families to submit candidates for the Throne. The competition would kick off, and Divinity would waste no time in deciding who would become King; Ferste Riga.
  • Ferste Riga: The first High King of Kikandrian, Ferste was famous for his refusal to marry anyone. Claiming he would follow Divinity's methods, Ferste promised to host a competition amongst his children, of which there were many, to see which child would become King after Ferste's death. Amused by this Divinity sanctioned the idea, until the competition came, and halfway through Ferste died. Divinity, annoyed by the man's frail stature, immediately declared that the oldest of Ferste's sons would become king, and that was how it would be from that point forth.
  • Ulther Riga: Ulther Riga was the first Riga King to call himself emperor, would therefore be the last Riga King.
  • Jericho Lowell: The first Lowell Queen, Jericho Lowell would usher in a time of technological advancement. After her husband's death Jericho Lowell would be declared the next High King, and she would quickly embrace the title thoroughly. In less than fifty years, Jericho would establish the government as Federal Monarchy, affording the 13 nations to rule over themselves, to a point. Jericho Lowell would also be heralded as the Dragon; also known as the Mother of Fates.
  • Kendra Lowell: The last Kikandrian High Queen, Kendra Lowell would inherit the already raging Well war, and would see the end of Kikandrian while escaping with her and her children's lives, barely.
