Aasimar
In the history of the realm, there have been several times in which Angels, servants of the Celestials, have mated with human beings. When this occurs, a recessive trait propagates in the bloodline of the child, and when this trait manifests an Aasimar is born.
Aasimar are effectively half Angel, a fact that is only noticeable by the faint, hazy ring of light that permanently manifests above their head. This celestial ancestry grants them several unique abilities such as enhanced magical aptitude, the ability to summon spectral wings for flight, and a healing property inherent to their tears.
It is a common fate for an Aasimar to be captured and tortured to harvest their tears, as this healing property is extremely potent. As a result, most Aasimar live in hiding or in countries more accepting of non-humans, such as Vush or Tarstan.
Additional Homebrew rules below:
Healing Tears
When Aasimar are gravely wounded or experience significant emotional turmoil, their tears possess a healing property.- When you are reduced to below half of your HP maximum, you produce Healing Tears. These tears can be applied to another creature as an Action. You cannot use the tears to heal yourself. When healing, roll a number of d6 equal to your proficiency bonus and add your constitution modifier for the total.
