Dragonborn

Dragons in Kindevion are powerful creatures capable of great magic, including the ability to disguise themselves as people. Occasionally, a Dragon will mate with a mortal, and the child of that union is known as a Dragonborn. The phenomenon of being a Dragonborn is refered to medically in Kindevion as Draconism. Dragonborn vary in appearance based on the sexes of their parents and the color of their Draconic parent. If the father was a Dragon, the resulting child will appear as a member of their mother’s race with several dragon-like qualities, such as scaly patches of skin or horns and talons. If the Draconic parent was the mother, the child would take the form of a dragon in the approximate form of a person, complete with a tail, sharp teeth, and horns. All Dragonborn can harness the elemental magic of their parent through their breath, a fact that has resulted in them being outcast from society.
