Drow

During the Great Judgement, some populations of Elves elected to descend into the Underdark to escape persecution. As a result, these Elves were exposed to the mysterious properties of the Abyss, a hostile section of the Underdark where monsters and dark magic stir. Over generations, these elves were fundamentally transformed, granting them enhanced magical connections and a greater understanding of their place in creation. These new elves are the Drow, dark and pale skinned elves with silvery hair and a knack for the arcane. Most Drow live in the Underdark, with most on Kindevion's surface completely unaware of their existence. Those who do live in the Underdark do so in Vargeth, a massive city built between the Abyss and the Sea of Columns regions. Most Drow pursue skilled craftsmanship or arcane study as they reach adulthood, as these professions benefit their society the most.
