Magma Golem

Living in the city of Carthral within the Underdark, the Magma Golems are large constructs made from stone and powered by magma. They were created in ancient times by the Dwarves in order to aid with construction and engineering, becoming independent after their masters were eradicated. With their newfound freedom, the Magma Golems constructed their own city within the Igneous Plain.

The golems reproduce by pouring magma into pre-made molds, then enchanting them using machines left behind by the Dwarves. Carthral is an isolationist society, preferring to stay within the Igneous Plain and to have no contact with outsiders. The Magma Golems' only motivation is to build, and they hope to one day restore the Igneous Plain to its former Dwarvish glory.
