Soulmate Beetle

Soulmate Beetles are native to the deserts of Zakib. They are always born in pairs, with the two beetles sharing what can only be explained as a psychic connection. They are capable of sensing the other's location, stress levels, and emotions. This trait is likely a result of Zakib's harsh environments, which make travel in groups preferable to traveling alone. When one Soulmate Beetle dies, the other senses this and usually dies of broken heart syndrome.
