Xelick, the Silent Sands
Xelick is an Assassin hailing from Baruktharb, Zakib. Son of Xelin, a retired Zakibian commander and an abusive father, Xelick was forced to undergo rigorous training as a child in the sake of creating the perfect soldier. This included being burried in sand, left for dead in the dessert, and having to endure grueling physical combat against his own father. Xelin even removed Xelick's tongue in order to make him incapable of talking back or voicing opinions. The following night, Xelick killed his own father by paralyzing him with the extract from a Desert Lily, proceeding to sever all of his limbs, starting with his fingertips. Following this murder, Xelick went on to become an assassin working in Zakib's criminal underground. Xelick refuses to enter society, living almost entirely in the desert. He has mastered the art of Sand Burrowing after studying the hunting tactics of Moledogs.

2/day:
Moonbeam
Despite not being a natural born or trained spellcaster, Xelick has had his left hand inscribed with a rune for the spell Moonbeam. Xelick can cast Moonbeam as an action. Description follows: A silvery beam of pale light shines down in a 5-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, dim light fills the cylinder. When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is engulfed in ghostly flames that cause searing pain, and it must make a Constitution saving throw. It takes 2d10 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A shapechanger makes its saving throw with disadvantage. If it fails, it also instantly reverts to its original form and can’t assume a different form until it leaves the spell’s light. On each of your turns after you cast this spell, you can use an action to move the beam up to 60 feet in any direction.Special Abilities
Rune of Ownership
Xelick has been marked with an ancient abyssal rune which hands ownership over his soul to Vorston and, by extent, Polock Zaphriel of Novedelia. Due to this curse, Xeick has been granted immortality and status as a minor Demon Lord. Upon death, Xelick will revive from the point at which he was killed with half of his total HP. This event causes all Rings of Frigid Wrath in the nearby area to glow brightly. Removing the skin upon which this rune is marked will not render Xelick mortal.Dirty Disengage
When Xelick takes the disengage action, a short-fuse bomb is left in the location where the action was taken. Any creatures within 5 feet of this bomb must make a DC 19 Dexterity or DC 15 Constitution saving throw. If a Dexterity saving throw is succeeded, the creature dodges to a spot 5 feet in the opposite direction of the bomb and takes no damage. If a Constitution saving throw is succeeded, the creature tanks the explosion and half the normal damage is received. If either saving throw is failed, the bomb detonates dealing 2d10 fire damage and is put under the Deafened condition for 1 minute.Actions
Multi-attack
Xelick makes two Blade of Torment attacks or two Throwing Star attacksBlade of Torment
range 5ft, +8 to hit, 3d8+5 slashing damage. After dealing at least 15 damage to a single enemy with the Blade of Torment, a red mist clouds around the blade, increasing its reach by 5ft and changing its damage to 4d8+5.Throwing Star
range 60ft, +8 to hit, 3d4+5 piercing damageBlinding Sand Cloud
Xelick throws a sand bomb on his location, forming a cloud of sand 15ft in radius around him that completely obscures him. He can then move up to 10ft in any direction. Any creatures caught within this cloud must succeed a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. This cloud lasts for 1 minute. Any failed perception or investigation checks to locate something within the cloud (DC 16) render the creature who performs the check as blinded for 30 seconds.Sand Burrow
Xelick burrows into the sand like a Moledog. Can only be used on sand. While underground, Xelick is both invisible and incapable of triggering opportunity attacks. He must resurface at the end of his entire burrow movement.Reactions
Counterspell
When an enemy casts a spell at Xelick, he outstretches his arm with the Counterspell rune etched into his palm: You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell. Make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the creature's spell fails and has no effect.Legendary Actions
Xelick has 3 legendary actions, which can be used to make a Throwing Star attack.
