Ashton has struggled with love and rejection his entire life. His family has always been toxic and everyone he has tried to have a relationship with has rejected him, including his fiancee, who he thought he had finally broken his curse with. At this point he is convinced love isn't real and he is meant to be alone.

Ashton works from home for a marketing firm that pays him very well to help companies advertise.
Mental Trauma
Ashton's worst experience was returning home after a business trip to discover his fiance had left him for another man. He found out she had visited a psychic, who he considered a fraud, who told her that Ashton was not a good fit for her. She gave his fiance a charm to attract the right man for her, and the very next day she met her new boyfriend and left Ashton.

Ashton has no contact with his parents or extended family because they have always been toxic, especially according to his therapist.

Ashton is an atheist, despite his parents raising him with Christianity..
Hobbies & Pets
Ashton has never had pets, though he isn't opposed to them. Outside of work, he doesn't really have any hobbies because he's afraid of losing interest in anything, or his joy being ruined by sharing a hobby with a partner who leaves him as they all always do.
