Eden

History

One of the many experiments started by God in the mortal world was to create a lush garden and to place mortal humans inside in order to see what would happen. No one knows where Eden actually is, but it is believed it may be in another realm or on another planet entirely.

The humans selected for this were a male and a female from different parts of the world during the early days of human civilization. God enjoyed watching the two slowly evolve from enemies to lovers, learning each other's languages along the way. They eventually shortened their personal names to Adam and Eve because they were simple names to understand and say.

Unlike in popular mythology, there were no restrictions placed on the two humans left to their own devices in the garden. However, consuming the plants in the garden caused unexpected immortality and stopped the humans from aging completely. It also seemed to prevent them from reproducing. God wasn't entirely certain what to do with them, and left them in Eden with instructions for angels to visit them regularly to check on them.

Resources

Eden is full of resources. Plant life, fresh water, and prey animals are plentiful. Building materials are also plentiful, and there is a comfortable house Adam and Eve built together. When angels visit they supply modern luxeries, including improved building materials, solar panels for electricity, and modern appliances. Returning concubi often bring other modern items, such as books, clothing items, and other material gifts.

Archangel Uriel and the Concubi

Archangel Uriel is in charge of the angels who visit Eden, and every ten years he visits himself. Like most of his angels, he carries on a sexual relationship with both Adam and Eve. This results in a unique type of nephilim known as concubi. The precise reason why the children of Uriel and Eve are not typical nephilim and instead must consume sexual energy to survive is not known. Unlike with vampires and werewolves, God has never made it known that the concubi are a cursed species. It may instead be that the idea of living off pleasure is God's idea of a reward for Eve and her children.
