Guild Headquarters

Lenen is an old city, and as such it has an abundance of unused and forgotten layers underneath it. These cellars, tunnels and caves are considered dangerous and even cursed by most of the inhabitants of Lenen. The tunnels beneath Lenen are almost completely sheltered from outside influences, which makes them a perfect hideout for a secret organization like the Guild, and the secret headquarters of the Guild were built there.

Nowadays the headquarters is used by the Guild for a multitude of things. Aside from being storage for all things an assassin might possibly need, it is used for training of members and as temporary living quarters. It is also the meeting place of the High Council of the Guild and the location of the annual assembly of all Guild members held by the High Council.

There are multiple hidden entrances to the headquarters, including several all across the city, one inside the Royal Palace area and a few outside the city walls. The main entrance is located in the market hall, a busy place that allows members to appear and disappear in the crowd without raising suspicion. As of now, the Guild headquarters have been found a few times, but have not been betrayed to anyone.

The cellars and tunnels the Guild calls home are considered off limits by most citizens of Lenen. Children are often warned off entering the tunnels by their parents. A popular legend in the city says that most who enter the tunnels never come out, and those who do come out are permanently changed.

This has led to the belief that the tunnels are cursed. The truth of the matter is, that those who stumbled upon the headquarters have either been killed or recruited by the Guild.
