Sootscale Caverns
Home of the Sootscale Kobold tribe. They had recently taken in a powerful purple Kobold named Tartuk. The Sootscales worship a being they believe is a mighty, winged kobold they refer to as "Old Sharptooth." The ivory statute of this being that the PCs recovered depicts a crouching horned figure with wings holding a spiked chain.
When the PCs were led to the Caverns by the kobold Mikmek he lead them to Chief Sootscale. When they turned over the idol of Old Sharptooth the chief threw it violently to the ground and proclaimed that the curse plaguing the Sootscale Tribe has been lifted, and that Tartuk must be taken down. The PCs asked that the tribe give them latitude to handle Tartuk, because they believed he was someone they knew. And he was. The Gnome bard Tartuccio, who they met at Lady Jamandi's house and who absconded with the charter that Linzi, Amiri, and Jaethal signed on for. He fought the party and was knocked unconscious, and in that moment he reverted to his gnome form, shocking the Kobold tribe.
The PCs negotiated with the Sootscales to get them to stop raiding local folks. They also discovered that the Sootscale Caverns have a vein of silver running through them, and in turn convinced the Kobolds that mining silver ore would be more lucrative than raiding.
