Brevoy (BRE-voy)

Brevoy (pronounced BRE-voy) is a nation in far northeastern Avistan on the verge of tearing itself apart. The political entity known as Brevoy was once two vastly different nations locked in a constant state of war before being conquered by a foreign despot: Choral the Conqueror. After centuries under the rule of Choral and his descendants, they suddenly all disappeared, and Brevoy must now decide its own destiny.
Brevoy is made up of two smaller nations, Issia and Rostland. Since the disappearance of Choral, Issia and Rostland have been maneuvering for control of Brevoy. Secret deals, assassinations, and spycraft have slowly given way to armaments and soldiers as both nations prepare for war. In a bid to secure their southern border with the Stolen Lands, Rostland has started sending groups of prisoners south with instructions to kill bandits and hopefully reduce the need for southern soldiers.
