"We, the chieftains of our respective ethnicity have all collectively decided after years of discussion on how to handle it, that we want to declare our independence from the godly influence of the Eternal Counsel.
We are thankful for the centuries of guidance helping us to rebuild society from scratch, but we realized, that we need to spread out to finally gain an identity for ourselves.

Purpose

To finally allow the world to develop by itself.
Under the wise guardianship of the Counsel, every species developed at a similar pace, sometimes even unable to differentiate between each other.

The people wanted individuality, an identity they can believe in; a personal history they can pride themselves in.

Historical Details

Background

350 years after the survivors of the Void age first showed themselves offering their assistance to rebuild a world in shambles the first glimpse of national pride glimmered up in the cities located on the nameless continent.
Awareness rose, that the space slowly got cramped and the desire and need to expand, to explore screamed up.
The cities, founded by the Counsel, got so big, that they started to touch other cities on the continent.

And after small turmoils happened of people fighting over a spot of land the unnatural idyllic partnership of cities crumbled.
The chieftains of the areas met on a neutral spot to discuss the situation and developed the Collective Declaration of Independence.
Giving the Eternal Counsel such a universal ultimatum caused the mechanical gods to reconsider their place in the world.

Public Reaction

The world was ecstatic after the Counsel signed the Declaration.
The chieftains ventured for the first time with their people into the land beyond the continent they and their ancestors lived on.
A whole world devoid of any sapient life was waiting for them to settle down.

1. The Eternal counsel and its various followers claimed a central section of the main continent of Prius, dubbing it 'Etherium'.

2. The High Elves, led by chieftain Ex'tarr Rubeus, claimed the eastern neighbour continent of the main continent, dubbing it 'Rubeus'.

3. The Avians, led by chieftain Ignus Do'oshmi, claimed the northern part of the continent northern our former home, dubbing it 'Do'oshmi'.

4. The lizardfolk, led by chieftain Effigi Nemthi, claimed the southern part of the continent northern our former home, dubbing it 'Nemthi'.

5. The Night Elves, led by chieftain Aléssla Scorzosa, stayed in our former home, dubbing the continent 'Scorzosa'

6. The merfolks, led by chieftain Bright Linnaei, claimed the small island southeast of the main continent, dubbing it and the ocean 'Linnaei'.

7. The canines and feliken, led by the chieftains Extus Stiria and Porr Tass, fought over the south of the main continent, dubbing it after coming to an understanding 'Stiria'.

8. The Blood Elves, led by chieftain Palkleri Duvara claimed the central desert, dubbing it 'Duvara'.

9. The snow Elves, led by the families Pernius and Sepernius, attempted to claim the polar caps, but failed.
The north will still get dubbed 'Pernius' and the south 'Sepernius' after their first discoverers.

10. The union of the people found in the Archipelago in the east of Rubeus a place to stay, dubbing it 'Squa'osa' after the Avish word for Family.

11. The region to the north of Etherium is considered inhabitable and is, therefore, neutral ground. It will remain nameless until the first will claim it permanently.

Discrimination

After witnessing the respectless behaviour the leading parties of the world brought against the native Arcadians, the Eternal Counsel released a further condition to the Declaration for the independent nations to remain out of their influence:

The Arcadians, sapient species born by the Veil, are to be considered equals.
After research concluded, the Counsel discovered that they require a 'Link' to live, not unlike our arcane spirits.
Consider providing them with the Link to allow them to live with the people and not under the people.
The council does not want to see discrimination against the Veil or consequences will be inbound.
