Sore teeth & Sabotage

Our heroes investigate murders In the nursery and learn of sabotage within their home base.

After a few days to sort our personal matters, our heroes meet up on this crisp clear day to discus their next steps. After meeting for several hours deciding on what the rebellion should work on next, the heroes hear a loud crash and a scream from another room within the Wasp's Nest . The heroes rush to the warehouse portion of the Wasp's Nest to see Wil, a leader of one of the rebellions Freedom Fighters, laying under a mound of rubble. After helping extricate Wil from the rubble the heroes ascertain that part of the wall seems to have collapsed on him. Upon further investigation the party finds a hammer and chisel near by to the wall and find tool marks upon the wall near the collapse. Putting two and two together they realize that this wasn't an accident, but an act of sabotage. In hopes of finding the Saboteur they ask Korva Fushi and her sisters to keep watch within the Wasp's Nest to see if they can catch this person. The sisters agree to do so and the heroes depart the Nest.   While on their way to the Nursery, to investigate the recent murders, They stop in at the Red Roof Brewery for a quick meal and hopefully dome information. Unfortunately when they talk with Edda they are not able to find anything out about the murders that have been happening recently. Departing the brewery with Edda's well wished they decide to go into the heart of the nursery and see if they can find out any more information. Splitting into two groups they decide to ask around to see if they can gather any extra information. After a few hours they are able to discern the location of the most recent murder. Jackdaw and Magnus head to the meeting location intent to search the place together while Kilia and Loki head to the murder location in stead. While they are searching they are greeted by a Red skinned and long haired Tiefling named Zea. Zea explained that she heard of people looking around for any information on the murders and wanted to help. It was around this point that Jackdaw and Magnus showed up at the alley. After a disproving look Magnus joined the conversation, jackdaw joined in as well. After a quick talk with Zea she explained that a total of four tiefling shad been killed within a fortnight (It was a litte more often that usual even for the slums). Zea offered to take them to the most recent killing if they so wished. After a quick search of the alley way Magnus was able to find a molar underneath a barrel. With that they moved a few blocks over to a make shift morgue where the most recent victim was being held until his cremation that night. The heroes investigate the body and they are able to discern that he is covered in tiny bite and scratch marks. Additionally they were able to find that all of the teeth had been pulled out. Speaking more with Zea they were able to learn that all of these murders happened at night. Putting together all their information they decided to wait for a few hours till dark then patrol.   As they had a few hours to kill they all head back to the Red Roof Brewery. After a short amount of time they decide to split up. Kilia Decides to stay at the brewery while Magnus, Jackdaw, and Loki decide to head to the market in search of some new weaponry and additional information. After some time searching the markets they head to the jarvis District in which Jackdaw splits of to busk on the street and earn some coin. Magnus and Loki head to the Castle market in search of a new dagger for Loki but are unable to find one. After a few hours they decide to head back to the Red Roof Brewery with Jackdaw in tow.   Meanwhile Kilia stays at the brewery and and hangs out with her sister while having a few beers. After a while when it was finally getting dark she decides to head out into the nursery alone to start searching for the murderer. Shorty after Dusk Magnus, Jackdaw, and Loki arrive at the Brewery and discover that Kilia had already left. They rush off to the Nursery to find her.   Kilia began to search the streets of the Nursery. While it was not dark yet she thought she could get a leg up on the murderer. After maybe an hour or so the other three had found her but decided to hang back. While Kilia was aware of the three she did not decide to confront them either continuing on her search. A few more hours past as night true begins to set in. Eventually Kilia rounds the corner of a street to see a swarm of small being to be gathered around a torch. As soon as she takes a step closer to the swarm she hears a mad chattering as all eight tooth faeries fly at her. The other three who were hot on her heels join the battle and they were able to defeat four of them before they flew off. Giving chase they were able to follow the tooth faeries to their lair where they were able to dispatch the rest.   With all eight tooth faeries destroyed Kilia slips into the hole they flew out of and discovered their lair. Inside the lair she found the small body of a tiefling urchin, with his throat slashed, who was bound by some kind of cord. Around the Head of the body a large amount of teeth were set into the wall in an unnerving pattern. To Kilia it looked almost as if the tooth faeries were worshiping this boy. Kilia Brought the Body out of the hole and showed the rest of the party. They were able to discover that the cords binding the boy were made out of the sinew of a adult male tiefling and was covered in a ritual spell written in Aklo. Unsure of the exact nature but sure it cause the tooth faeries to appear the party brought it to the morgue. Zea was currently in the process of cremating the body they expected previously. Zea thanked them profusely and promised to give the body a proper burial. with their deed done for the night and the Slums safe from at least these attacks the Heroes head back to the Red Roof brewery for the night.
