Elowen Albrecht, Arda Montserrat, Donovan Basket, William Fawkes, Vayola Cinderwind, and Nerich Brightmoon made each other's acquaintance at a banquet in the Village of Kald. Later that evening they went as a group to investigate a mysterious group of strangers and were swept away to the land of Barovia. Their fate unknown to the friends and family members they left behind.
